Tammy McIntire-Mandich was a women's basketball perimeter player from 1986 through 1990, helping the Lady Vulcans to their first winning season as an NCAA II affiliate during her sophomore year. A two-time all-conference, All-ECAC and All-American selection, McIntire-Mandich finished with 1,122 career points and was only the fifth Lady Vulcan at the time to reach the 1,000-point plateau. Cal's leading scorer in 1988-89, McIntire-Mandich also guided the Lady Vulcans to their first three post-season appearances in 1987-88, 1988-89 and 1989-90. Aided by "Mac's" last-second game-winning shots, Cal compiled a 37-17 cumulative record during her final two season.

After her outstanding college career, Mandich served as an assistant basketball coach at Chartiers-Houston Junior High School, Pine Ridge Junior High and High School in Florida and at Cal U. She was also a softball coach at Waynesburg Central and Pine Ridge. Originally from Waynesburg, PA, and Waynesburg High School, Mandich is a special education teacher at Pine Ridge. Tammy and her husband Nick reside in New Smyrna, Florida with their daughter, Mercedes.
