The College Sports Communicators (CSC), formerly College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), annually selects Academic All-America teams in 16 programs: baseball, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, football, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, softball, men's swimming & diving, women's swimming & diving, men's tennis, women's tennis, men’s track & field/cross country, women’s track & field/cross country, women’s volleyball, men’s at-large and women’s at-large.
AT-LARGE PROGRAM: Eligible sports are women's beach volleyball, women’s bowling, women’s crew, men’s and women’s fencing, women’s field hockey, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s gymnastics, men’s and women’s ice hockey, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s rifle, men’s and women’s skiing, men’s volleyball, men’s and women’s water polo and men’s wrestling.
NOMINATION CRITERIA: To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. Nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team’s games at the position listed (where applicable). No student-athlete is eligible until he/she has completed one full calendar year at his/her current institution and has reached sophomore academic and athletic eligibility. In the case of transfers, graduate students and two-year college graduates, the student-athlete must have completed one full calendar year at the nominating institution to be eligible. However, graduate students who are competing at a different institution than the one from which they earned their undergraduate degree are eligible even if they are in their first semester at the graduate institution. Beginning in 2022-23, nomination limits were set in place for each sport and all eligible nominees received Academic All-District recognition and advanced to the national ballot.
