KUTZTOWN, Pa. (Oct. 26) – The California (PA) women's cross country team finished No. 13 in the team standings at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships on Saturday morning.
The Vulcans posted 362 points at the meet hosted by Kutztown. Slippery Rock repeated as the conference champions with 70 points behind two of the top-three individual finishers. Shippensburg finished second at the league championships with 88 points and East Stroudsburg ranked third in the team standings with 91 points.
Senior
Madeline Curtis led the team and finished 21st overall after posting a time of 23 minutes, 20.5 seconds. She received All-PSAC laurels for the third time in her career, as she earned All-PSAC Second-Team status on Saturday.
Sophomore
Rosalyn Perozzi crossed the finish line in 24:33.6 at the PSAC Championships to finish in 64th place. Classmate
Gabriella Fralin placed 100th overall with a time of 25:31.1, while senior
Macayle Wade finished the six-kilometer course in 26:55.6 to finish in 131st place. Classmate
Makaila Wade placed 146th overall with a time of 27:16.6 to round out the team scorers.
Slippery Rock senior Anna Igims cruised to the individual title by over 30 seconds with a time of 21:26.5. She was a First-Team All-American in the 3,000-meter steeplechase last spring after winning a combined six league titles in track & field.
Cal is idle next week before competing at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships on Nov. 9 in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania.
