PITTSBURGH (Oct. 12) – In their final event before the league championships, the Vulcans competed at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational in Schenley Park on Saturday morning.
NOTES
• California (PA) ranked 12th in the team standings while competing against teams from all three NCAA divisions.
• Senior
Madeline Curtis paced the team and finished in 20th place with a time of 19:41.4.
• Sophomore
Rosalyn Perozzi placed 37th overall in a field of 125 runners after crossing the finish line in 20:22.1.
• Pitt captured the team title with 64 points and West Virginia ranked second with 72 points.
• Point Park sophomore Cassondra O'Connor earned the individual crown by 1.8 seconds with a time of 18:32.0.
NEXT
• The Vulcans return to action on Oct. 26 when they compete at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships in Kutztown, Pennsylvania.
