FAIRVIEW, Pa. (Sept. 5) – Led by the first career individual title from junior
Rosalyn Perozzi, the Vulcans started the year at the Race in the Park hosted by Gannon at Pleasant Ridge Park on Friday evening.
TEAM NOTES
• The California (PA) women's cross country team placed third in the team standings with 53 points.
• Mercyhurst, now a NCAA Division I program, earned the team title with 34 points behind five of the top-10 individual finishers.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Perozzi crossed the finish line in 16:20.0 to win the race by nearly 14 seconds.
• She ranked second on the team at both the PSAC Championships and NCAA Regional Championships in 2024.

Kailyn Hamilton placed fifth overall in her college debut with a time of 17:04.9.
NEXT
• Cal travels to New York City on Friday, Sept. 12, when it competes at the 30th-annual Br. John "Paddy" Doyle Meet of Champion hosted by Iona.
