EDINBORO, Pa. (Oct. 25) – California (PA) junior Rosalyn Perozzi registered the program's top-individual finish at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships since 2018, as the Vulcans placed No. 12 in the team standings at the event hosted by Edinboro on Saturday morning.

Cal totaled 325 points at the league championships, which were hosted by the Fighting Scots for the first time in seven years. East Stroudsburg and Edinboro both finished with 77 points in the team standings, as the Warriors captured their first-ever women's cross country title by virtue of a tiebreaker. Bloomsburg placed third in the standings with 103 points, while two-time defending-league champion Slippery Rock finished sixth on Saturday with 135 points.

Perozzi placed third overall at the championship event with a time of 22 minutes, 23.7 seconds. She recorded the program's best individual finish since Alicia Belko captured the league title in 2018, when the race was also hosted by Edinboro. Perozzi averaged 3:44 per kilometer (6:00.2 per mile) over the six-kilometer course in a field of 157 runners. The Belle Vernon product competed at the PSAC Championships for the third time in her career, having never previously finished among the top 60 overall. Perozzi earned All-PSAC First-Team status on Saturday, as the Vulcans featured at least one All-PSAC honoree for the 12th-consecutive year.

Freshman Kailyn Hamilton crossed the finish line in 24:18.4 to place 53rd overall, while junior Gabriella Fralin finished in 81st place with a time of 25:05.0 in her third championship appearance. Freshman Sarah Sipe placed 128th overall at 26:51.4 and junior Sarabeth Caldwell rounded out the team scorers in 135th place with a time of 27:09.6.

Gannon sophomore Emily Bowers became the first individual champion in school history. She won the race by more than five seconds with a time of 22:17.0 after finishing 18th overall at the league championships in 2024.

The Vulcans are idle for two weeks before competing at the NCAA Regional Championships hosted by Lock Haven on Nov. 8. The Bald Eagles are hosting the regional event for the third-consecutive year and the fifth time since 2019.
