LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (Nov. 8) – The California (PA) women's cross country team competed at the NCAA Regional Championships hosted by Lock Haven on Saturday morning.
The Vulcans finished with 485 points to rank 18th in the team standings. Davis & Elkins repeated as the regional champion with 58 points behind a trio of top-10 runners. East Stroudsburg placed second with 113 points and Edinboro finished third with 127 points.
Junior
Rosalyn Perozzi led the team and placed 30th overall with a time of 22 minutes, 23.2 seconds. She has now finished among the top 30 at the regional championships in back-to-back years after placing outside the top 100 as a freshman in 2023. Perozzi sat among the top 10 in the field through the opening two miles of the six-kilometer race.
Fellow junior
Gabriella Fralin posted a time of 23:30.6 to finish 86th overall, while freshman
Kailyn Hamilton crossed the finish line in 89th place with a time of 23:32.3. Freshman
Sarah Sipe recorded a time of 25:38.2 to place 140th overall and junior
Sarabeth Caldwell rounded out the team scores in 152nd place with a time of 26:21.0.
Glenville State junior Natalie Barr captured the individual title by five-tenths of a second with a time of 21:22.0.
