#22 Slippery Rock v. #10 Cal U (NCAA Tournament) – Nov. 14, 2010 – Roadman Park I Full Preview (2010)
The Vulcans were making a second-straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament and earned hosting rights, plus a first-round bye, as the second seed in the Atlantic Region. Meanwhile, The Rock entered on a 14-game unbeaten streak and were in the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in five years. Cal U featured seven All-PSAC selections, including the top goal scorer in the league, and had held opponents without a goal for over five games. Slippery Rock scored nine goals in its previous five games following a 3-1 victory versus West Virginia Wesleyan in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Vulcans advanced to the Round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament following a 1-1 double-overtime tie by virtue of a 4-2 advantage in penalty kicks. Cal U held the lead for virtually all of regulation following an unassisted goal by Kayla Fransko from 35 yards out in the seventh minute. Slippery Rocked eventually tied the score at the 78:05-mark and appeared to have claimed victory in the first overtime before the officials negated a goal with an offside call. Paula Jackson stopped a pair of shots in the shootout, as the Vulcans advanced in the post-season by making each of their initial four attempts in the shootout. In a rematch of the 2010 PSAC Championship, Cal U advanced to face No. 4 West Chester for the regional championship and again the teams played to a draw with the Golden Rams claiming the title via penalty kicks.
