CALIFORNIA (Nov. 25) – The California (PA) women's soccer team placed four players on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team on Tuesday afternoon.
Junior
Kaitlin Bickhart, senior
Izabella DeGlopper, junior
Ella Kaszeta and junior
Caelin Thomas received the honors from the organization. DeGlopper earned the accolade for a third-consecutive year, while Thomas repeated as a recipient.
Bickhart started all 17 games this year. She maintains a 3.80 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) while majoring in sport management studies with a minor in event planning and management.
A native of New York, DeGlopper also started all 17 games this fall and finished with three points on one goal and one assist. She boasts a 3.93 GPA while completing a degree in communication science disorders with a minor in psychology.
Kaszeta started a career-high 13 games this season and scored one goal. She holds a 3.82 GPA while pursuing a degree in psychology with a minor in art history.
Thomas started all 17 games this fall. She maintains a 3.94 GPA while majoring in computer science with a minor in mathematics.
To qualify for CSC Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, maintain a cumulative 3.50 GPA and have played in 90 percent of the team's games or start 66 percent of the team's games. Additionally, each institution is limited to six nominees in the sport of women's soccer.
