California plays to scoreless tie on Senior Day

Vulcans recognize four seniors; Cal ties for sixth in PSAC West standings

CALIFORNIA (Nov. 5) – The Vulcans closed the season with a 0-0 tie on Senior Day against Pitt-Johnstown on Wednesday evening at the Phillipsburg Soccer Facility in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play.

NOTES
• California finished the year with a 2-12-3 overall record with a 2-9-3 mark in league action.
• The Vulcans recognized a group of four seniors prior to play on Wednesday.
• The teams combined for 13 shot attempts in the scoreless first half with five shots being placed on net.
• Early in the second half, play was delayed for 30 minutes to a lightning warning.
• The Vulcans finished play with an 11-8 shot advantage after both teams attempted three shots in the second half.
• Freshmen goalkeepers Autumn Bishop and Kaleigh Rexroad combined for the team's second shutout this year.
• Bishop tallied three saves in the first half and Rexroad added one save over the final 45 minutes.
• Senior Izabella DeGlopper concluded her career with 69 starts, the most since Danielle Kearns (2013-16) started 71 games.

FINAL STANDINGS
• The Vulcans tied for sixth in the PSAC West standings with nine points behind a 2-9-3 mark in divisional play.
