BUCKHANNON, W.Va. (Sept. 5) – The No. 4 California University of Pennsylvania women's soccer team suffered its first regular-season loss since 2010 on Wednesday night, falling 1-0 in double-overtime at West Virginia Wesleyan.
With the loss, the Vulcans fall to 2-1 this year after having their regular-season undefeated streak snapped at 22 games (20-0-2). Meanwhile, the Bobcats move to 1-1-1 overall after winning their home opener.
West Virginia Wesleyan tallied the game-winning goal with just three seconds remaining in the second overtime with freshman Kristen Hoo scoring on a one-on-one breakaway.

Ashley Magruda (Belle Vernon, Pa./Belle Vernon) finished with two saves in the loss, while the Bobcats' Lauren Duncan collected four saves to record the shutout.
Cal U is idle for over a week before opening Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) play on Sept. 14 when it hosts Clarion at 1 p.m.
