CALIFORNIA (Sept. 12) – Playing one of perennial top teams in the division, the Vulcans suffered a 3-0 loss against Gannon on Saturday afternoon at the Phillipsburg Soccer Facility in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action.
NOTES
• California (1-4, 1-4) has suffered three-straight shutout losses following a home-opening victory on Sept. 2.
• The Golden Knights took a 1-0 lead in the 19th minute on a goal by Jessie Watkins with assists from Brooklyn Respecki and Grace Emanuel.
• Gannon added to its lead in the 42nd minute on an unassisted goal by Olivia Dixon.
• The Golden Knights held a 2-0 lead at the break after out-shooting the Vulcans by a 14-1 margin in the first half.
• In the 54th minute, Dixon increased the lead to a 3-0 margin on a penalty kick.
• Gannon finished the game with a 25-5 shot advantage and held a 7-1 edge in corner kicks.

Kaleigh Rexroad set a career high with 10 saves after entering play with a combined 13 saves this year.
