SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. (Sept. 23) – The California (PA) women's soccer team surrendered four goals in the first half on Wednesday night in a 6-2 loss at Slippery Rock in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action.

• The Vulcans (1-6-1, 1-6-0) have lost the last six meetings in the series with The Rock.
• Cal allowed its most goals since suffering a 9-4 loss at Pitt-Johnstown on Sept. 29, 2021.
• Slippery Rock scored the initial goal in the 30th minute before adding a goal at the 33:55-mark.
• The Vulcans answered with a goal by sophomore
Macrina Robb in the 35th minute with an assist by classmate
Sophia Orphall.
• The Rock countered with a goal at the 36:45-mark and extended the lead to 4-1 in the 40th minute.
• Slippery Rock entered the break with a 4-1 lead on 10 shot attempts.
• The Vulcans cut the deficit to 4-2 when freshman
Pia Stock recorded her first career goal at the 76:45-mark.
• The Rock followed with a goal in the 83rd minute before scoring again with 35 seconds remaining.
• Slippery Rock finished the game with a 19-10 shot advantage, while Cal held a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.
