SAVANNAH Ga. (March 4) – The California University of Pennsylvania baseball team dropped a 9-1 contest against Bellarmine University (Ky.) on Wednesday at the Savannah Invitational, hosted by Armstrong Atlantic University.

With the loss, the Vulcans drop to 4-2 on the season.

Senior Jon Selby (New Brighton, Pa./New Brighton) collected two of the Cal U hits in the contest.

Freshman Pat Gannon (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper Saint Clair) made his first career start and suffered the loss.

The Vulcans return to action tomorrow, Thursday, March 5, when they face Kutztown University for the third time in four days. The two teams split the previous two meetings.
