Evans collects second-team all-region laurels

D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Teams

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. (May 18) – California (PA) senior outfielder Connor Evans was voted Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Second-Team All-Region on Monday afternoon, marking his second all-region accolade in the past few days.

Evans previously earned first-team all-region status last Friday from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA). He garnered all-region laurels from both organizations for the first time in his career.

As a senior, Evans led the team and ranked among the leaders in the Atlantic Region with a .392 average (71-for-187) while starting all 49 games. He registered a .591 slugging percentage behind 24 extra-base hits with 15 doubles, six triples and three homers. Evans finished second on the team with 37 RBI, 37 runs scored and 12 stolen bases. The Hermitage, Pennsylvania, native reached base safely in 34-consecutive games to finish the year, highlighted by an 18-game hitting streak.

Evans posted a .371 average (106-for-286) over his two seasons with the Vulcans after previously playing at Chestnut Hill (PA) in 2022 and Kennesaw State (GA) from 2023-24.
