CALIFORNIA (March 20) – The California (PA) baseball team will face Point Park at PNC Park, home of the Pittsburgh Pirates, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on April 9.
The Vulcans and Pioneers will play a single nine-inning game with first pitch set for 12 p.m.
Tickets, including fees, are available for $18, while Cal students are able to purchase tickets, including fees, for $10. All available seats are located in sections 109 through 124 in the lower bowl, ranging from first base to third base. Links to purchase tickets are available above.
Fans will be permitted to enter through the home plate entrance on the North Shore, featuring the Honus Wagner statue, beginning at 11 a.m. Concessions will be available on the main concourse.
Parking for the game will be available at Champion Garage ($9), West General Robinson Garage ($10) and Red Lot 5A ($10).
The PNC Park bag policy will be strictly enforced at the gate. Each guest is permitted to enter the stadium with a soft-sided bag measuring no larger than 16x16x8 inches (i.e., purses, fanny packs, backpacks, etc.). All bags will be subject to search.
Note, Pirates manager Don Kelly was a standout at Point Park when the Pioneers were an NAIA program. He graduated from Point Park in 2001 and was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009. Kelly played nine seasons in MLB, including six years with the Detroit Tigers, and joined the Pirates coaching staff in 2020.
