NEW ORLEANS (March 11) – Three members of the California (PA) women's track & field team earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) all-region laurels on Wednesday afternoon.
The top-five individuals in each event from each region received all-region distinction, in addition each of the members of the region's top-three relay teams. The regions used for the award match those used during the cross country season.
Sophomore
Loreena Manser and senior
Alice Etienne both received all-region status in multiple events, while sophomore
Anna Schuessler garnered all-region recognition for the first time in her career.
Manser collected all-region honors in the 60-meter dash, 200-meter dash and the long jump. She leads the Atlantic Region in the long jump with a distance of 6.04 meters (19-9.75 feet) set at Kent State to break her own school record. Manser also boasts the top time in the region this season in the 60 meters with a mark of 7.51 seconds set during the preliminaries of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships. The Virginia native earned all-region laurels in the 200 meters for the second time in her career after sitting third in the region with a time of 24.35 seconds set at Penn State.
Etienne received all-region status in both the triple jump and long jump after previously earning all-region honors in the triple jump during the 2024 indoor campaign. She ranks second in the Atlantic Region in the long jump – behind only Manser – after posting a distance of 5.99 meters (19-8.0 feet) at Kent State. In the triple jump, Etienne sits third in the region after setting the PSAC Championships record with a mark of 12.25 meters (40-2.25 feet).
Schuessler earned all-region distinction in the pole vault this season. She ranks fourth in the Atlantic Region after clearing 3.55 meters (11-7.75 feet) at Youngstown State. With the honor, Schuessler becomes the first women's pole vaulter in program history to receive all-region recognition.
