CALIFORNIA (Feb. 24) – The California (PA) baseball program announced a schedule change for its upcoming play at the Atlantic Region Crossover on Tuesday afternoon.
The Vulcans were originally slated to play a doubleheader at Salem on Saturday, Feb. 28. However, the series will now be played as two separate nine-inning games on different days. Cal will still face Salem on Saturday, Feb. 28, at Frank Loria Memorial Field in Nutter Fort, West Virginia, at 3 p.m. The Vulcans will then host the Tigers at EQT Park on March 4 at EQT Park in Washington, Pennsylvania, with first pitch set for 1 p.m.
Cal remains on schedule to play both Bloomsburg (Feb. 27) and Shepherd (March 1) this weekend at Kendrick Family Ballpark in the Morgantown, West Virginia – the home facility of the WVU Mountaineers and the West Virginia Black Bears.
The Atlantic Region Crossover is being co-hosted by Fairmont State and Salem and features 12 teams from Illinois, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. A total of 18 games are scheduled to be played across three venues this weekend.
