WHEELING, W.Va. (Sept. 21) – Following her play over the weekend, California (PA) freshman Olivia Weiseman was named to the all-tournament team for the Atlantic Region Crossover on Sunday afternoon.

Weiseman averaged 3.93 kills, 4.25 points and 4.50 digs per set, as the Vulcans split four matches against Mountain East Conference (MEC) teams – including a pair of NCAA Tournament programs from 2024. She registered three kill/dig double-doubles while hitting at a .253 clip over 14 sets. Weiseman opened the weekend with nine kills and 17 digs on Friday in a 3-0 loss at West Liberty, the first loss of the season for the Vulcans. The Ohio native then posted 10 kills on a .345 clip and 15 digs later that day in a 3-0 win over defending-MEC Champion West Virginia State. The following morning, Weiseman finished with 15 kills and 14 digs in a 3-1 loss at league and regional powerhouse Wheeling. She closed the weekend by setting a career high with 21 kills on a .327 hitting percentage, plus 17 digs and two service aces, in a 3-1 victory versus Fairmont State – a team with double-digit victories already this fall.

A 5-foot-10 freshman, Weiseman ranks fourth in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) with 3.78 kills per set and her 151 total kills are second-most in the league. She also sits among the top 15 in the conference with both 4.29 points per set and 4.03 digs per set. Weiseman has already registered eight kill/dig double-doubles this fall, which is more than the Vulcans totaled as a team in the 2024 campaign.

The Vulcans return to action with three home matches at the Convocation Center this week, starting on Tuesday. Sept. 23, against Glenville State – another MEC program – at 6 p.m.
