PUEBLO, Colo. (May 23) – California (PA) freshman
Brianna Lee received NCAA Second-Team All-America laurels in the high jump on Friday evening during the second day of the NCAA Championships.
Lee tied for No. 10 in the high jump with a height of 1.68 meters (5-6.0 feet) on her initial attempt at the mark. She opened the event by clearing the bar at 1.63 meters (5-4.25 feet) on her first jump on Friday. Lee was seeded in a tie for No. 10 on the national performance list prior to the NCAA Championships in Colorado.
A native of Lancaster, Lee joins Jenise Lockhart (1985) and
Beyoncé Kelly (2022-24) as All-American high jumpers in program history. She garnered All-America laurels as a freshman in her first career appearance at the NCAA Championships, a feat last accomplished by Julie Friend in 2014 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
Sophomore Emy Ntekpere of Central Washington earned the national title on Friday with a personal record of 1.82 meters (5-11.5 feet). At the 2025 indoor championships, she placed sixth in the high jump and captured the individual crown in the triple jump.
