Loreena Manser was tabbed Track Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon.
The Vulcans started the outdoor campaign on Saturday with their first home meet since 2019, as they hosted the Early Bird Invitational. The event featured entries from over a dozen teams with a mix of NCAA Division II and Division III programs.
Etienne broke a pair of school records and reached NCAA provisional marks in both the triple jump and long jump. She won the long jump with a distance of 5.94 meters (19-6.0 feet) to eclipse the previous school record held by Imani Shell since 2013. Etienne also captured the victory in the triple jump with a mark of 12.16 meters (39-10.75 feet) to surpass the previous school record set at the 2018 PSAC Championships by Kailah Holmes. The 5-foot-5 senior ranks fourth on the national performance list in the triple jump and seventh in the long jump.
A two-time NCAA All-American, Etienne earned PSAC Field Athlete of the Week accolades for the second time this season.
Manser reached the NCAA provisional standard in the 200-meter dash and won a pair of individual events. She claimed the victory in the 200-meter dash with a personal-best time of 23.96 seconds, which sits as the eighth-fastest time in the country this spring. Manser also established a personal best in the 100-meter dash by winning the event with a time of 11.84 seconds. Additionally, the Virginia native qualified for the PSAC Championships in the long jump with a distance of 5.70 meters (18-8.5 feet) – the second-best mark in the conference behind Etienne.
A 5-foot-0 sophomore, Manswer received PSAC Track Athlete of the Week honors for the third time this season and the fourth time in her career. She was also named PSAC Field Athlete of the Week once during the 2026 indoor campaign.
The Vulcans will split entries between meets hosted by Carnegie Mellon and West Liberty this weekend.
