PITTSBURGH, Pa. (March 28) – The California (PA) finished with seven conference-qualifying standards at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational over the weekend.
NOTES
• Freshman
Abigail DeFruscio earned the individual victory in the javelin throw.
• She posted a distance of 37.16 meters (121-11.0 feet) on her second attempt to win the event.
• Sophomore
Riley Tighe reached a pair of league-qualifying marks over the weekend.
• She finished the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.33 seconds and posted a time of 25.81 seconds in the 200-meter dash.
• Sophomore
Anna Schuessler cleared a height of 3.61 meters (11-10.0 feet) on her second attempt at the height in the pole vault.
• Senior
Jing McCann set a season best in the hammer throw with a distance of 47.62 meters (156-3.0 feet) on her fourth attempt.
• Junior
Rosalyn Perozzi reached the league mark in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:30.93 while competing in the event for the first time in her career.
• Sophomore
Camille Neutzling posted a time of 15.04 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles to qualified for the conference championships.
• Select entries also competed at West Liberty on Saturday.
