PITTSBURGH (March 29) – The California (PA) women's track & field team reached conference standards in five different events while at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational over the weekend.
RECORD
• Freshman
Anna Schuessler reset her own school record in the pole vault at CMU.
• She cleared a height of 3.66 meters (12-0.0 feet) on her final attempt at the mark.
• Schuessler broke a two-decade old outdoor school record in the event last week with a height of 3.40 meters (11-1.75 feet).
PSAC STANDARDS
• Schuessler improved her qualifying mark in the pole vault with the best height in the league this spring.
• Sophomore
Gabriella Fralin reached the conference standard with a time of 2:18.58 in the 800-meter run.
• Classmate
Rosalyn Perozzi set a personal record in the 1,500-meter run and qualified for the league meet with a time of 4:52.28.
• Senior
Madeline Curtis qualified for the PSAC Championships in the 5,000-meter run while in Pittsburgh after crossing the finish line in 18:09.70.
• Junior
Alice Etienne reached the league mark in the triple jump with a distance of 11.20 meters (36-9.0 feet) on her final attempt.

• Cal returns to action on April 4-5 when it competes at the Dave Labor Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock.
