LYNCHBURG, Va. (Feb. 15) – The Vulcans featured nine entries reaching conference-qualifying standards over the weekend while competing at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational hosted by Liberty.
PSAC STANDARDS
• Senior transfer
Madison Murtland qualified for the league championships in a pair of events while making her program debut in individual events.
• She posted a time of 2:22.60 in the 800-meter run and crossed the finish line in 5:17.76 in the 1-mile run.
• Sophomore
Rosalyn Perozzi set a personal record in the mile and reached the conference standard in the event with a time of 5:17.49.
• Classmate
Gabriella Fralin qualified for the league championships in the 800 meters with a season-best time of 2:20.65.
• Freshman
Brianna Lee improved her qualifying mark in the high jump by clearing 1.64 meters (5-4.5 feet) on her second attempt at the height.
• Fellow freshman
Anna Schuessler tied her school record in the pole vault with a height of 3.45 meters (11-3.75 feet).
• Classmate
Loreena Manser reached a pair of conference standards while competing in her home state of Virginia.
• She finished with a time of 7.84 seconds in the 60-meter dash and posted a time of 25.32 seconds in the 200-meter dash.
• Junior
Alice Etienne recorded a distance of 11.20 meters (36-9.0 feet) in the triple jump to reached the league mark.
