PHILADELPHIA (April 27) – California senior
Beyoncé Kelly matched her second-best mark this spring in the high jump while competing at the Penn Relays on Saturday.
Kelly placed sixth overall in the championship portion of the event with a height of 1.70 meters (5-7.0 feet) on her second attempt at the mark. She competed against entries from schools such as Clemson, Duke, Ohio State and Pitt. Kelly reached the NCAA provisional mark in the high jump for the third time in four weeks.
Villanova senior Roschell Clayton, a two-time All-American and Big East Champion, won the high jump after clearing 1.83 meters (6-0.0 feet).
