YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (Dec. 6) – Freshman Anna Schuessler broke a 14-year old school record in the pole vault on Friday, as the California (PA) women's track & field team started the season at the Youngstown State Icebreaker.

RECORD
• Schuessler cleared a record height of 3.25 meters (10-8.0 feet) on her first attempt at the height in her collegiate debut.
• She broke the previous mark of 3.10 meters (10-2.0 feet) held by Danielle Morrison since 2010.

PSAC STANDARDS
• Freshman Loreena Manser qualified for the PSAC Championships in three events on Friday in Ohio.
• She posted a time of 7.81 seconds in the preliminaries of the 60-meter dash and crossed the finish line with a time of 25.09 seconds in the 200-meter dash.
• Manser, a native of Virginia, cleared a distance of 5.38 meters (17-8.0 feet) on her third attempt in the long jump.
• Junior Alice Etienne registered a mark of 11.17 meters (36-7.75 meters) in the triple jump on her sixth and final attempt.
