Morelli, Woytovich garner conference laurels

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (Nov. 13) – The California (PA) tandem of senior defender Paul Morelli and senior midfielder Cullin Woytovich were both voted to the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Second-Team by the league coaches on Wednesday afternoon.

Morelli started 16 games this fall and scored the game-winning goal, his lone goal of the year, in the final game of the season. He helped the Vulcans record their lowest goals-against average (GAA) since 2019 after lowering their GAA from last season by over one full goal per game. Morelli made 39 starts over the last three seasons after previously attending Coastal Carolina.

A native of nearby Charleroi, Woytovich led the team with seven points on two goals and three assists. He started all 17 games this season and finished his career with 55 starts, including 34 starts over the last two years. Woytovich repeated as an All-PSAC West Second-Team selection, becoming the first field player to earn conference laurels in back-to-back years since Jeffrey Kyei accomplished the feat from 2012-14.

The Vulcans finished the 2024 campaign with a 5-8-4 overall record and ranked fifth in the PSAC West standings with eight points behind a 2-6-2 mark in league play.
