YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (Dec. 1) – The California (PA) women's track & field team reached 10 qualifying standards for the league championships while opening the indoor season at the Youngstown State Icebreaker on Friday.
NCAA STANDARD
• Three-time All-American
Beyoncé Kelly reached the NCAA qualifying mark in the high jump.
PSAC STANDARDS
• Kelly finished second in the seeded portion of the high jump after clearing 1.72 meters (5-7.75 feet).
• Sophomore
Alice Etienne reached the conference mark in both the triple jump and long jump on Friday.
• She finished fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 11.30 meters (37-1.0 feet) and posted a distance of 5.35 meters (17-6.75 feet) in the long jump.
• Junior
Madeline Curtis qualified for the league meet and placed fifth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:55.96.
• Senior
Kailee Bunyard and junior
Jazzy Harper both posted PSAC-qualifying times in the 60-meter hurdles at YSU.
• Bunyard crossed the finish line in 9.44 seconds and Harper finished in 9.45 seconds.
• Sophomore
Skylar Riedel reached the conference standard in the triple jump with a distance of 10.95 meters (35-11.25 feet).
• Junior
Jing McCann posted a heave of 14.48 meters (47-6.25) in the weight throw to qualify for the league meet.
• Junior
Taylor Timmons and freshman
Rebekah Priano both posted PSAC-qualifying times in the 400-meter dash.
• Timmons crossed the finish line in 59.81 seconds and Priano finished with a time of 1:00.53 in her college debut.
