LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (Nov. 18) – California University of Pennsylvania senior Sarah Moehring (Palm City, Fla./Martin County) and junior Chelsea Howard (Atlanta, Ga./North Atlanta) were both selected to the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Second-Team, announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon.

Howard and Moehring both received All-PSAC West laurels for the first time in their careers. Additionally, the Vulcans featured multiple All-PSAC honorees for the second time in the last five years.

A native of Florida, Moehring led the team and ranked among the top 15 in the conference with 2.82 kills per set while totaling a career-high 245 kills with double-digit kills in 13 matches. She also ranked second on the team with 251 digs for an average of 2.92 digs per set behind eight kill/dig double-doubles. Moehring finished among the league leaders with 35 total service aces while playing in 25 matches this season. The 5-foot-10 senior also led the team with 292 total points and ranked 10th in the PSAC with a career-best average of 3.36 points per set.

Howard shattered her career highs in every statistical category while being the team's lone player to appear in all 26 matches this fall. She paced the team and ranked among the top 15 in the league with 0.97 blocks per set while registering 86 total blocks. The Georgia native recorded at least five blocks in seven matches this season. Howard finished third on the team with 160 kills, which more than doubled her freshman total, and was the team leader with a .246 hitting percentage. The 5-foot-11 junior tallied double-digit kills in four matches this season and closed the year with 227.0 total points, which was second-most on the team.

Cal U closed the 2021 season with a 14-12 overall record and finished fourth in the PSAC West standings with a 9-7 mark in league play. The Vulcans qualified for the PSAC Tournament for the eighth time in the last 10 playing seasons.
