WHEELING, W.Va. (Sept. 6) – Following their play over the weekend, the California tandem of junior Lindsey Scammell and sophomore Olivia Weiseman were named to the Wheeling Hall of Fame/Alumni All-Tournament Team on Sunday morning.

Scammell and Weiseman played 13 sets in three matches over the weekend against teams from three different conferences.

A native of Florida, Scammell averaged 2.92 kills and 3.08 points per set over the weekend. She posted five kills on Friday afternoon in a 3-0 loss to UIndy, which advanced to the 2025 NCAA Midwest Regional Championship. Later that day, Scammell set a career high with 16 kills on 31 attempts for a .484 attack percentage in a 3-2 loss to the host Cardinals. The 6-foot-0 junior reset her career high on Saturday with 17 kills on a .548 clip in a 3-2 victory against Ursuline (Ohio).

Weiseman averaged 2.54 kills, 3.38 assists and 2.62 digs per set in the three matches. She collected eight digs and was limited to just two kills in the loss to the Greyhounds on Friday. Weiseman then registered a kill/assist double-double with 17 kills and 21 assists, plus nine digs, against host Wheeling. The Ohio native closed the weekend with her third career triple-double with 14 kills, 16 assists and 17 digs in the win over the Arrows.

Following two weekend trips to start the year, Cal will face Point Park in its home opener on Tuesday, Sept. 8, in the Convocation Center at 6 p.m.
