SAVANNAH, Ga. (March 7) – The Vulcans closed out play in the Savannah Invitational on Saturday with a 9-1 loss to host Armstrong Atlantic State University (Ga.). The California University of Pennsylvania baseball team posted a 4-4 record during the week-long invitational.

Overall, Cal U holds a 6-4 record this season.

Freshman Troy Handza (Glenshaw, Pa./Shaler) posted a pair of hits and stolen bases against Armstrong Atlantic. On the mound, senior Jon Squeglia (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler) suffered the loss.

The Vulcans return to action on Tuesday, March 10, when they travel to face West Virginia State University in a doubleheader.
