CLARION, Pa. (Sept. 13) – After rallying from behind to tie the game in the final minutes of regulation to send the game into overtime, the California University of Pennsylvania women's soccer team out-shot Clarion University by a 4-0 margin during the two overtime sessions but ended up with a 1-1 tie against the Golden Eagles on Saturday.
After a scoreless first period, Clarion took a 1-0 lead in the 73rd minute as Jill Miller scored her fifth goal of the season off an assist from Rachael Shmitz. The Vulcans answered back at the 88:02-mark when freshman

Cal U dominated the pace of the game, out-shooting Clarion by a 23-3 margin including a 19-3 advantage during regulation. The Vulcans also attempted a season-high 13 corner kicks during the first 90 minutes of the contest.
Senior goalkeeper
Erin Cook (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills) posted one save on three shots in 110 minutes of action for the Vulcans.
Regney and junior
Amanda Heister (Palmyra, Pa./Northern Lebanon) paced the Cal U offense with each player firing a game-high eight shots.
The Vulcans (3-2-1, 1-2-1) continue Pennsylvania State Athletic State Conference (PSAC) divisional play on Wednesday, Sept. 17, when they host Indiana University of Pennsylvania at Roadman Park for a 4 p.m. start.
