Young averaged 18.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game, as California played three games last week against in-region opponents. She tallied 17 points, five rebounds and two assists on Tuesday in the home-opener against Bowie State. On Saturday, Young tied her career high with 22 points (16 second half) and added nine rebounds, one block and four steals in a 65-61 win over Point Park. The Sto-Rox product then finished with 16 points, four rebounds and two blocks on Monday at preseason No. 7 Fairmont State, the defending-MEC Champion.
