Munro broke a decade-old school record in the heptathlon over the weekend while at the D-II Pre-National Invitational. He finished third overall with a total of 4,388 points while making his college debut in the event. Munro won the pole vault portion of the heptathlon with a height of 4.45 meters (14-7.25 feet) and ranked third in the 1,000-meter run with a time of 2 minutes, 57.19 seconds. The Penncrest eclipsed the previous record set at the 2013 league championships by 140 points.
