Lee, Manser set for NCAA Championships

CALIFORNIA (May 19) – Sophomores Brianna Lee and Loreena Manser will represent the California (PA) women's track & field team at the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships on May 22-24 in Emporia, Kansas.

Lee and Manser were selected to the NCAA Championships for the first time in their careers. The Vulcans have been represented with at least one entry at the outdoor national meet every year except once over the last 10 seasons.

Manser will be competing in both the 200-meter dash and long jump this weekend. She is tied for No. 14 on the national performance list in the long jump after breaking the school record with a distance of 6.14 meters (20-1.75 feet) at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships three weeks ago. Additionally, Manser ranks No. 21 nationally in the 200 meters with a personal-best time of 23.63 seconds set last month at Slippery Rock.

A native of Lancaster, Lee will be competing in the high jump at the outdoor championships for the second-straight year. She is tied for No. 13 on the national performance list after matching her personal best with a height of 1.73 meters (5-8.0 feet) at the PSAC Championships.

The long jump is slated to begin on Thursday, May 21, at 6:30 p.m. EST. Minnesota State senior Miranda Lauvstad boasts the top mark in the country in the event at 6.58 meters (21-7.25 feet) after winning the national title in the long jump and finishing second in the pentathlon at the indoor national meet in March.

The preliminaries of the 200 meters are set for Friday, May 22, at 6:45 p.m. EST. West Texas A&M junior Blessing Akintoye leads the country with a converted time of 23.02 seconds after winning the indoor national title in the 400-meter dash this year. The finals of the 200 meters will then be held on Saturday, May 23, at 7:20 p.m. EST.

The high jump is scheduled for Saturday at 4:15 p.m. EST. Oklahoma Baptist Jamora Horace registered the top mark in the nation this year at 1.83 meters (6-0.0 feet) after finishing fourth in the event at the indoor championships. Pittsburg State junior Jazmine Williamson returns after capturing the national title in the event in March with a mark of 1.80 meters (5-10.75 feet).
