NEW ORLEANS (May 13) – Four members of the California (PA) women's track & field team received U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) all-region honors a combined seven times on Wednesday afternoon.
The top-five individuals in each event from each region received all-region distinction, in addition to each of the members of the region's top-three relay teams. The regions used for the award match those used during the cross country season.
Sophomore
Loreena Manser headlined the group by earning all-region laurels in three events, while senior
Alice Etienne garnered all-region status in multiple events. Senior
Jing McCann and sophomore
Brianna Lee each received all-region accolades for the second time in their careers in their respective events.
A native of Virginia, Manser collected all-region honors in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash and long jump. She topped the Atlantic Region in both the 200 meters and long jump, while also ranking fourth in the region in the 100 meters. Manser set the school record in the long jump with a distance of 6.14 meters (20-1.75 feet) at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships two weeks ago. In the 200 meters, the 5-foot-0 sophomore set a career-best time of 23.63 seconds at the Dave Labor Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock last month. Manser also established her personal record in the 100 meters at Slippery Rock with a time of 11.71 seconds. The health sciences major earned all-region merits six combined times in 2026 and seven times overall in her career.
Etienne garnered all-region accolades in the triple jump and long jump this spring after ranking third in the region in both events. She set the school record in the triple jump with a distance of 12.16 meters (39-10.75 feet) at the home meet in March. Etienne later won the league title in the event at the PSAC Championships with a mark of 12.13 meters (39-9.75 feet). The 5-foot-5 senior also posted a season best in the long jump at the home meet after recording a distance of 5.94 meters (19-6.0 feet). Etienne placed second in the event, behind only Manser, at the league meet with a mark of 5.89 meters (19-4.0 feet). The Delaware County native received all-region accolades four combined times as a senior and five times during her career.
Lee earned all-region designation in the high jump for a second-straight outdoor season. She tied for third in the region after matching her personal best by clearing a height of 1.73 meters (5-8.0 feet) at the PSAC Championships. She captured the league title in the event for the first time in her career.
McCann collected all-region laurels in the hammer throw for the second time in her career. She finished third in the region after setting a school record in the event with a mark of 53.80 meters (176-6.0 feet) at the Dave Labor Invitational in April. McCann later placed third at the league meet to earn All-PSAC accolades following a distance of 50.27 meters (164-11.0 feet).
