Folmer, Thrush collect all-region status

NEW ORLEANS (May 13) – California (PA) seniors Bill Folmer and Jonathan Thrush both earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) all-region status on Wednesday afternoon.

The top-five individuals in each event from each region received all-region distinction, in addition to each of the members of the region's top-three relay teams. The regions used for the award match those used during the cross country season.

Folmer received all-region honors in the 800-meter run for the second time in 2026. He finished fourth in the Atlantic Region with a season-best time of 1 minute, 52.53 seconds set at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships two weeks ago. Folmer placed third in the finals of the event at the league meet to garner All-PSAC merits.

A 5-foot-10 senior, Thrush collected all-region laurels for the fifth time in his track & field career. He ranked third in the region in the 10,000-meter run with a season-best time of 30:03.65 at the Bison Outdoor Classic hosted by Bucknell in April. He later placed third in the event at the league championships to earn All-PSAC accolades.
