Manser selected to PSAC Winter Top 10

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (April 8) – California (PA) sophomore Loreena Manser was voted to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Winter Top 10 on Wednesday afternoon, as announced by the league office.

The PSAC Top 10 Awards, which are selected by the league's sports information and athletic communication professionals, recognize student-athletes who have achieved a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade-point average (GPA). The sports eligible for consideration for the Winter Top 10 Awards include men's and women's basketball, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's indoor track & field and wrestling.

Manser earned All-America status for the first time in her career by placing 14th overall at the NCAA Championships in the long jump. At the PSAC Championships, she captured the league title in both the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash and finished third in the long jump. Manser received U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) all-region honors in all three events during the winter season.

A native of Virginia, Manser set the school record and led the Atlantic Region in the long jump with a distance of 6.04 meters (19-9.75 feet) set at Kent State. Manser also paced the region in the 60 meters with a time of 7.51 seconds during the preliminaries of the PSAC Championships. The 5-foot-0 sophomore ranked third in the region in the 200 meters with a time of 24.35 seconds at Penn State.

Manser has already earned All-PSAC status a combined eight times in her career. Additionally, she has collected USTFCCCA all-region laurels four times over the last two years.

A prolific sprinter and jumper, Manser boasts a 3.95 cumulative GPA while majoring in health sciences with a minor in honors interdisciplinary studies. She is the first PSAC Top 10 selection from the women's track & field program since Divonne Franklin accomplished the feat four-consecutive times from Winter 2022 to Spring 2023.

All Top 10 Award winners from each season – fall, winter, spring – are eligible for the PSAC Pete Nevins Scholar-Athlete of the Year Awards, which are presented to one male and one female student-athlete.
