SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. (April 30) – Senior
Jing McCann earned All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships (PSAC) status in the hammer throw for the second time in her career, as the Vulcans opened competition at the PSAC Outdoor Championships on Thursday.
McCann placed third overall in the hammer throw with a distance of 50.27 meters (164-11.0 feet) on her third attempt. She also finished third in the event at the 2024 league championships, which were also held at Shippensburg, before redshirting last season. McCann is one of three standouts in the PSAC to reach the NCAA provisional mark in the hammer throw this spring, as she broke her own school record with a heave of 53.80 meters (176-6.0 feet) earlier this month.
Freshman
