SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. (April 30) – Senior
Jonathan Thrush received All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) laurels for the seventh time in his track & field career on Thursday, as the California (PA) men's track & field team competed in a pair of events on the opening day of the PSAC Outdoor Championships.
Thrush crossed the finish line in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 30 minutes, 27.53 seconds. He collected All-PSAC status in the event for the third time in his career. Thrush placed as high as second in the 10,000 meters at the league championships in both 2023 and 2025.
Freshman
Nate Hoffman has registered 3,119 points in the decathlon and sits in ninth place through five events. He won the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.85 seconds on Thursday and still has the 110-meter hurdles, discus throw, pole vault, javelin throw and 1,500-meter run remaining.
The host Raiders lead the team standings with 21 points through two events on the opening day of the league meet. East Stroudsburg ranks second with 10 points, while two teams are tied for third with nine points. The Vulcans are currently tied for seventh in the team standings with six points from Thrush in the 10,000 meters.
Cal will have entries competing in eight individual events tomorrow, Friday, May 1, at the PSAC Championships in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, beginning at 10 a.m.
