Penn Relays (5K)
SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. (April 25) – In its final event before the league championships, the California (PA) women's track & field team won four individual events at the Paul Kaiser Classic hosted by Shippensburg over the weekend.
NOTES
• Sophomore
Brianna Lee won the high jump and reached the qualifying mark for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships for the first time this spring.
• She cleared 1.60 meters (5-3.0 feet) on her second attempt at the height.
• Senior
Jing McCann claimed the victory in the hammer throw with a league-qualifying distance of 52.23 meters (171-4.0 feet) on her fourth attempt.
• In the 100-meter dash, sophomores
Loreena Manser and
Riley Tighe both reached the conference standard in the event.
• Manser won both preliminaries and finals of the event, including a time of 12.04 seconds in the finals.
• Tighe crossed the finish line in 12.50 seconds during the preliminaries.
• Senior
Skylar Riedel won the triple jump with a season-best mark of 10.83 meters (35-6.5 feet) on her second attempt.
• Additionally, junior
Rosalyn Perozzi competed in the 5,000-meter run at the Penn Relays on Thursday and reached the conference-qualifying mark with a time of 17:45.50.

• The Vulcans return to Shippensburg next week for the PSAC Championships from April 30-May 2.
