GREENSBORO, NC (April 18) – The Vulcans recorded the fastest time in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) this season in the 4x100-meter relay over the weekend at the Aggie Invitational hosted by North Carolina A&T State. Additionally, freshman
Abigail DeFruscio broke the school record in the javelin throw on Thursday at the John Papa Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock.

Alice Etienne, sophomore
Loreena Manser, freshman
Amanda Mercurius and sophomore
Riley Tighe posted a time of 47.20 seconds.
• The Vulcans rank first on the league's performance list in the event by seven-hundredths of a second.
• Individually, Manser reached the NCAA provisional standard in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.85 seconds.
• She also cleared conference-qualifying marks with a time of 11.88 seconds in the 100-meter dash and 5.73 meters (18-9.75 feet) in the long jump.
• Etienne posted a PSAC-qualifying distance of 11.40 meters (37-.50 feet) in the triple jump.
• Tighe finished the 100 meters with a wind-aided time of 12.22 seconds and recorded a time of 25.53 seconds in the 200 meters.
• Mercurius crossed the finish line in the 200 meters with a time of 25.34 seconds.

Emily Mahle posted a PSAC-qualifying height of 1.60 meters (5-3.0 feet) in the high jump.

• DeFruscio broke school record in the javelin throw with a mark of 38.42 meters (126-0.0 feet).
• Last week, she set the previous record at 38.11 meters (125-0.0 feet) at the Westminster Invitational.
• Sophomore
Camille Neutzling set a pair of season-best times while reaching PSAC-qualifying standards in the 100-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles.
• She finished with a time of 14.79 seconds in the 100 hurdles and rounded the track in 1:03.58 in the 400 hurdles.
• Senior
Madison Murtland also established a season best with a time of 4:49.31 in the 1,500-meter run.
• Fellow senior
Jing McCann reached the conference-qualifying distance in the hammer throw with a mark of 51.89 seconds (170-3.0 feet).
• Sophomore
Anna Schuessler cleared a height of 3.55 meters (11-7.75 feet) in the pole vault to meet the PSAC-qualifying mark.
