LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (March 6) – The California (PA) junior duo of
Kennedy Bankett and
Kimaya Williams were chosen to the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Second-Team on Friday afternoon.
Bankett and Williams both received the laurels for the first time in their careers. The Vulcans have featured multiple selections to the All-PSAC West Teams in five-consecutive seasons.
A native of Maryland, Bankett led the team and ranked eighth in the league in scoring at 15.7 points per game. She also finished third in the conference with a .551 field-goal percentage (168-of-305) and sat fourth with an .831 free-throw percentage (118-of-142). Bankett, who was in her first year with the program, scored at least 20 points in nine games with a season-high 34 points against Pitt-Johnstown.
Williams ranked among the top 10 in the conference in multiple categories while setting career highs in virtually every category. She finished fourth in the league with 9.2 rebounds per game and ranked third with 3.9 assists per game. Williams sat second in the PSAC with 36:45 minutes per game and was also seventh with 2.19 steals per game. The Pittsburgh native scored 7.5 points per game while being the only player to start all 31 games this season.
