EDINBORO, Pa. (Feb. 21) – The Vulcans held the lead after each of the first three quarters before falling by a 71-64 margin at Edinboro in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play on Saturday afternoon.

• California (11-17, 7-11) has lost 10 of the 11 road meetings in the series with Edinboro over the last decade.

Hope Hawkins tied her career high with 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting.
• She also added seven rebounds, three assists and two blocks while playing 33 minutes.

Macy Sardone finished with 14 points behind four-of-seven from long range and played all 40 minutes.

Mya Morgan collected five points, four rebounds and two steals off the bench, while junior
Kimaya Williams posted five rebounds, four assists and four steals.
• The Vulcans opened the game on a 9-2 run and held a 20-16 lead at the first quarter behind a trio of three-pointers.
• Edinboro scored 10-consecutive points midway through the second quarter before Cal closed the quarter on a 7-3 run to take 37-35 lead at halftime.
• The Vulcans mounted a 12-2 run early in the third quarter before being held scoreless for over five minutes yet still held a 51-45 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
• Edinboro posted a 14-5 rally over five minutes to take a 61-58 lead with 3:45 remaining.
• The Vulcans trailed 63-60 at the 1:28-mark before the Fighting Scots sealed the victory by making all five free-throw attempts, plus a three-pointer, down the stretch.
• Cal finished the game shooting 50.0 percent (25-of-50) from the floor.
• The Fighting Scots converted 20-of-22 from the free-throw line and held a 32-26 rebounding advantage, plus forced 20 turnovers.
