CALIFORNIA (Feb. 28) – The Vulcans scored the initial 23 points of the game on Saturday afternoon while rolling to a 91-64 victory over Slippery Rock in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play at the Convocation Center to close out the regular season.

• California (13-17, 9-11) won back-to-back games for the first time since a pair of league crossover games during the turn of the 2025-26 calendar year.
• The Vulcans entered the weekend already having secured the fifth seed in next week's PSAC Tournament and will travel to face fourth-seeded Edinboro on Monday, March 2, in the opening round.

Hope Hawkins led the team with 22 points on 9-of-15 shooting and added seven rebounds (three offensive).
• She is averaging 17.5 points over the last six games behind three-consecutive 20-point performances.

Kennedy Bankett finished with 19 points, four rebounds and six assists, while sophomore
Trinity Balog collected 18 points, three rebounds and five assists.

Kimaya Williams totaled nine points, 10 rebounds, five assists and two steals in the win.
• Cal started the game on a stunning 23-0 run before Slippery Rock scored its initial points with 2:13 left in the first quarter.
• The Vulcans finished the quarter with a 29-8 lead after shooting a blistering 12-of-15 (80.0 percent) from the floor.
• Cal led by as many as 28 points in the second quarter while taking a 49-21 lead at the break.
• The Vulcans extended the lead to 32 points, 55-23, at the 8:08-mark of the third quarter before closing the quarter with a 72-45 lead.
• Cal maintained a lead of more than 20 points throughout the fourth quarter.
• The Vulcans posted their second-highest field-goal percentage of the year with a .574 clip (35-of-61).
• Cal also matched its season high with 10 three-pointers and collected 21 assists.
• The Vulcans held a dominating 41-19 rebounding advantage, including 16 offensive rebounds.
