Jack Ozimek broke the school record and reached the NCAA provisional standard in the long jump at the Doug Raymond Invitational hosted by Kent State over the weekend.
NCAA STANDARD/RECORD
• Ozimek reached the NCAA provisional mark with a distance of 7.25 meters (23-9.5 feet), which tops the PSAC this winter.
• He broke the school record of 7.16 meters (23-6.0 feet) set by Brendin Marks in 2023 at Youngstown State.
PSAC STANDARDS
• Ozimek finished third in the long jump after winning the event two ago at SPIRE
• Freshman
Bode Layo improved his PSAC-qualifying height in the high jump with a mark of 1.95 meters (6-4.75 feet) to place third in the event.
• Sophomore
Scott Amin qualified for the league championships with a distance of 14.25 meters (46-9.0 feet) in the triple jump.
• Senior
Bill Folmer posted a season-best time in the 800-meter run after crossing the finish line in 1:53.41.
• Freshman
Ekoulus Lett posted a time of 8.37 seconds during the preliminaries of the 60-meter dash.

• The Vulcans return to action on Feb. 13-14 when they compete at the Indoor Pre-Nationals hosted by Norfolk State in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
