Vulcans win two events at SPIRE

Results

GENEVA, Ohio (Jan. 24) – The Vulcans won two events and reached a pair of league-qualifying standards on Saturday at the SPIRE Midwest Open in their first action in seven weeks.

NOTES
• Sophomore Jack Ozimek won the long jump and reached the conference mark with a personal best of 7.11 meters (23-4.0 feet) on his sixth and final attempt.
• Freshman Aidon Lett qualified for the PSAC Championships in the 60-meter hurdles after placing second in the finals with a time of 8.58 seconds.
• The 4x400-meter relay of senior Aidan McMahon, senior Bill Folmer, freshman Garret Minnick and freshman Nate Hoffman won the event by over 1.4 seconds with a time of 3 minutes, 29.84 seconds.

• The Vulcans return to action at the Mid-Major Invitational hosted by Youngstown State on Jan. 30-31.
