GREENSBURG, Pa. (Sept. 23) – Led by a pair of top-10 individual finishes, the Vulcans placed second in the team standings while serving as co-hosts for the Hannastown Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday.
TEAM NOTES
• The California (PA) men's golf team shot a 32-over 872 (289-296-287) while at the Hannastown Golf Course.
• Pitt-Johnstown captured the tournament title by nine strokes with a 23-over 863 (292-286-285) after playing the final two rounds at a combined 11-over.
• IUP finished third in the team standings in Greensburg with a 39-over 879 (299-287-283).
• The field featured 13 different collegiate programs and a total of 96 golfers.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Junior
Gavin Goodrich placed second on the individual leader board with a two-over 212 (71-71-70).
• He led the field with a total of 40 pars over the three rounds and played the 10 par fours at combined one-over for the tournament, highlighted by an eagle in the opening round on the 16th hole.
• Fellow junior
Chaz Ekoniak fired a six-over 76 216 (70-73-73) to finished seventh overall in the field on Tuesday.
• UPJ freshman Griffin Hansberry earned medalist honors by four strokes with a two-under 208 (70-68-70) behind 10 birdies and a pair of eagles.

• The Vulcans compete at the Sunnehanna Collegiate hosted by UPJ on Sept. 29-30 at the Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
