KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Aug. 1) – The California (PA) women's soccer team was honored with the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the eighth-straight year on Friday evening.
To be eligible for the award, teams must hold a minimum cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher on a 4.00 scale for the 2024-25 academic year. The honor is available to all soccer programs at the high school and collegiate levels. United Soccer Coaches recognized a total of 736 college soccer programs with over 430 of them being women's programs.
Cal was one of four Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) teams to garner the honor from the United Soccer Coaches this season. Women's Soccer finished the spring semester with a 3.49 cumulative GPA.
The Vulcans have now received the honor in each of the last eight years, which is the longest stretch in program history.
