CALIFORNIA (Sept. 7) – The California (PA) women's soccer team fell by a 1-0 margin versus Lake Erie (OH) in non-conference action at the Phillipsburg Soccer Facility on Sunday afternoon.
NOTES
• The Vulcans (0-2) opened the year with back-to-back games at home in span of four days.
• Cal pressured the net with a pair of shots in the opening 15 minutes of the contest.
• The teams entered the break scoreless after The Strom was held without a shot attempt until the 37th minute.
• The Vulcans placed a pair of shots on net in a three-minute span early in the second half.
• Lake Erie registered the game-winning goal when Arielle Fink scored from the right side after placing the ball in the bottom left corner of the net.

• Cal and Lake Erie both finished with seven shot attempts, while the Vulcans held a 6-2 edge in corner kicks after tallying five in the second half.
